Dear Parents,
Books are a wonderful way for children to learn, explore, and imagine. At our library, we believe that reading and a love of books are essential for personal growth and development. We encourage you to share the joy of reading with your children and help foster a love of books from an early age. Here are a few tips for helping your kids love books:
Read with your kids: One of the best ways to encourage a love of reading is to read with your children. Make it a special activity that you do together, and take turns reading pages or chapters.
Choose books that interest your child: Let your child pick out books that they are interested in, whether it's a topic they're studying in school or a favorite hobby. This will help them feel invested in the reading process.
Set aside time for reading: Make reading a regular part of your child's routine by setting aside dedicated time for reading each day. Whether it's before bed or after dinner, establishing this habit will help your child see reading as an important and enjoyable activity.
Encourage asking questions: Encourage your child to ask questions and make connections while reading. This will help them engage with the material and think critically about what they're reading.

The mission of our library is to provide access to a diverse collection of books, media, and information to members of our community. We aim to be a welcoming and inclusive space that supports learning, literacy, and personal growth.

The Library Core Values
The Library in the day to day interactions is guided by the Core Values of KRISQC (Knowledge, Respect, Integrity, Service, Quality and Communication).
The Library is to carry out basic functions of acquiring, organizing and disseminating information in support of the Institute’s vision and mission. More specifically it is to provide reading, reference, and other Library services to the students, academic staff, and non-academic staff and to a limited number of qualified outsiders as external users. The Library is fully equipped with wide varieties of printed and E-information resources; serials and monographs as well as reference services. Library collections are often kept up to date through the acquisition of current resources in accordance to the needs of students, faculty, administration, and the community.

Library Rules and Regulations
General Rules on the Use of the Library
- SILENCE is to be observed in the Library all the time. Noncompliance to this is an offence and liable to punishment upon withdrawal of the Library card(s).
- Use of A MOBILE PHONE is NOT ALLOWED in the library. Users MUST switch off their mobile phones or set them in a silent tone. Usage of cell phones as well as ringing Cell phones will be confiscated and withdrawal of the Library card.
- Library User Card(s) will be withdrawn from any person suspended from the Library until library committee allows him/her to use library again.
- Readers must leave their bags, brief cases, paper bags, etc. to the Cloak Room with the Staff at the library entrance who may issue one Card per item left with him/her at no cost. No person will be allowed to collect each other’s properties from the Library Cloak Room.
- Users are advised not to keep valuable items in their bags or briefcases.
- Wearing of jackets and hats are not allowed in the Library.
- Smoking and consumption of food and drinks are forbidden in the Library.
- Bottles of Ink may not be brought into the Library.
- The reservation of seats in the Library is not permitted. Books and other materials left for any length of time on chairs and tables may be removed by the Library staff. Items left in the Library will be cleared away during the closing time. Removal and or shifting of chairs and tables is not allowed in the Library.
- The Library Management accepts NO RESPONSIBILITY for personal belongings left in the Library.
