After six months of intensive hands-on training, trainees from Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN) Vocational Training Center (VTC) stepped out of the classroom and into the real world for a field study ahead of their upcoming internships. The purpose of this visit was to expose students to real working environments, help them understand industry expectations, and bridge the gap between theory and practice.
The field study, which took place in different locations across Gisenyi City, was organized based on the trainees' areas of specialization. Students from Automobile Mechanics visited a specialized garage to gain insights into vehicle repair and maintenance operations, while those from Welding and Tailoring explored a handcraft center in Mbugangari, where they observed professional craftsmanship in action. Meanwhile, students pursuing Hairdressing had the opportunity to visit "Baba Lao," a renowned salon in Byahi Center, to learn advanced styling techniques and customer service best practices.
