A Purpose-Driven Response to Youth Vulnerability in Rwanda

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle was established to rebuild social fabric, create job-ready skills, and provide vulnerable youth with dignity, hope, and marketable livelihoods.

Initiated through the visionary leadership of the Brothers of Christian Instruction (FIC) alongside grassroots and international partners, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle began with modest carpentry and literacy workshops in Rubavu. Today, it has grown into an accredited institution celebrated by the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), TVET authorities, and international development agencies.

Our 360-degree holistic approach blends market-driven vocational certifications with adolescent health, psychosocial healing, sportsmanship, and micro-savings cooperatives (VSLAs) ensuring lifelong self-reliance.

From grassroots vocational rooms in Rubavu to an internationally recognized youth NGO.

Establishment of Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle
2002

Founded by the Brothers of Christian Instruction in Rubavu to provide holistic shelter, literacy, and vocational hope for post-conflict youth.

Official TVET & VTC Accreditation
2008

Formal accreditation of modern workshop facilities in Automotive Mechanics, Tailoring, and Industrial Trades by national TVET regulatory bodies.

Launch of VJN Football Club & Youth Clinic
2014

Launch of VJN Football Club and dedicated adolescent reproductive counseling facility offering confidential healthcare and HIV testing.

Teen Mothers Program & VSLA Micro-Finance
2019

Scaling nationwide support for teen mothers with child daycare facilities, vocational grants, and village savings cooperatives.
